Fla. Stat. § 736.1501 - Commentary to Florida Trust Code

Legal Commentary on Fla. Stat. § 736.1501

Fla. Stat. § 736.1501 gives the Community Property Trust Act its name.

Text of Fla. Stat. § 736.1501

Short title.—This part may be cited as the “Community Property Trust Act.”

History of Fla. Stat. § 736.1501

Fla. Stat. § 736.1501 became law on July 1, 2021 as part of the Community Property Trust Act. It has not been amended or revised since that date.

The statute section appears to be influenced by Tenn. Code Ann. § 35-17-101, which similarly opens with the title of the Act. Fla. Stat. § 736.1501 also appears to be based on Fla. Stat. § 736.0101 and Fla. Stat. § 736.1401, which both similarly uses the phrase “may be cited” in reference to a named act or code.
