Trust and Estate Attorney, Kaytlin M. Keen
Kaytlin M. Keen (formerly Kaytlin M. O’Sullivan) is a Managing Partner of PTM Trust and Estate Law, and licensed to practice law in the state of Florida. Kaytlin is a former trial attorney who now devotes her practice to helping people protect their loved ones and themselves with creative estate plans, and helping fiduciaries administer trusts and probate estates. Kaytlin also handles exploitation injunction matters, fiduciary litigation, guardianships, and premarital agreements (also known as “prenups”).
Background
Kaytlin is a native Floridian, having grown up in Lithia, Florida along with her two younger siblings and has been bouncing around the state ever since. Unsurprisingly to no one, Kaytlin took an active interest in her high school’s Speech and Debate Team. She competed on a local, state, and national level while also serving as the team’s president her junior and senior year. She then attended the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida, graduating in just two and a half years with her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, and a minor in mass communications.
Kaytlin and Blake met in Gainesville, Florida at the University of Florida Levin College of Law (“UF Law”). While earning her Juris Doctor degree, Kaytlin became an integral part of the college’s community. She served in various leadership positions across multiple student organizations, competed and coached for UF Law’s Alternative Dispute Resolution Team, worked as a certified legal intern through the Gator TeamChild Juvenile Law Clinic, and received a recognition of extraordinary service through UF Law’s Pro Bono Program.
After graduating from UF Law and passing the Florida Bar Exam, Kaytlin started her career in Clearwater, Florida as an Assistant State Attorney in the Sixth Judicial Circuit. As a prosecutor, Kaytlin was quickly moved into a specialized prosecution division for domestic violence where she served as the Lead Trial Attorney of that division, and handled cases on a misdemeanor and felony level. Kaytlin then moved into civil practice, working as an Associate Attorney with Southern Atlantic Law Group in Winter Haven, Florida.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, when Kaytlin is not hard at work, she can typically be found curled up with a good book, tending to her plants, playing games with her husband, or cheering on her favorite sports teams.
